Do you have a favourite city/town? Explain.

What are the 3 important places people visit in your city?

Do you prefer historical or modern places? Why?

What is the most famous place in the world?

Does where you live affect your personality?


3- Click on the pictures – They will take you to some PLACES phrases, idioms, or vocabulary.

  • Check out the new phrases and lexis you can use.
  • Take notes on phrases or words you don’t know or don’t remember.
  • Choose your favourite phrases/idioms and think about when you can use them.
  • Share with the class.

                  

 

4- Watch the video and take notes.

  • Do you know any of these words?

5- Look and talk.

  • According to the pictures, discuss the following questions:
    • What do you like most about where you live?
    • What can you do to live in a better place? Explain.
    • What aspects of your city/town do you complain about?
    • How could you improve the place where you live?

6- Read and talk.

  • To sum up, what are the pros and cons of living where you live?
  • What could you and your neighbours do to live in a better place?

 

7- Watch the video and take notes.

  • Listen and write – what would you use when speaking in a regular conversation?
  • Pause the video as needed.
  • Share with the class.
  • Listen carefully and analyze the idioms, phrases, or phrasal verbs.

  • What can I improve in my community?
  • What places would you want to remodel?

The teacher will comment on your sharing.

You will need the comments to make some improvements to your planning.
