If you had a company, what services would you offer?

Why are services important in a company? Explain.

Would you work in customer service? Why / Why not? Explain.

What is the most important service in a hotel? Explain.


Why is a good quality service important in a restaurant?

Referring to customer service, tell the best experience you have ever had.

Why do people agree or disagree with quality service?

Do customer services change depending on the country? Why?

How could a town look like with no general, public, customer services? Why?


3- Click on the pictures – They will take you to some service phrases, idioms, or vocabulary.

  • Check out the new phrases and words you can use.
  • Take notes on phrases or words you don’t know or don’t remember.
  • Choose your favorite phrases/idioms and think about when you can use them.

    • How can you improve some hotel services?
    • Which extra services would you add to a hotel?
    • Would you pay more for extra amenities?
    • Would you choose an expensive, moderate, or cheap hotel? Why?

  • To sum up, based on its services, how could you choose a hotel based on its services?
  • If you were the manager, would you pay attention to all customer’s comments?

 

7- Watch the following video and take notes.

  • Listen carefully and analyze the idioms, phrases, or phrasal verbs.
  • Write some of them that you would use when speaking in a regular conversation.
  • Pause the video as needed.
  • Share with the class.

  • You are a manager in a hotel which is going to be renovated at the end of the year.
  • Write some notes about what important points should be improved, renovated, or added to get better services. Complete the template.

  • What did the family feel in the hotel? What do they think about the hotel?
