Last Saturday Gaby and her family were talking in the living room. It was lunch time when Gaby’s mum had an idea and said to the family, “I’d like to go to the beach right now!”
Gaby loved the idea so much that she started jumping and shouting, “Yes, let’s do that!” Everybody in the family started to prepare the things they would need for the trip. Gaby took her cellphone, her materials to make bracelets and some magazines. Mum prepared some food and dad prepared the car. Gaby’s grandma took some sweets, a radio and a sweater; in case she gets cold. Gaby’s brother, Oscar, he didn’t prepare anything because he is a baby, but he was very happy too.
“Time to go!” dad said, and then all the family got in the car and drove to the beach.

After some hours, they got to a beautiful beach called “Paradise.” The family rented a room in a very big hotel which was right in front of the sea.
It was about nine pm, so they could not go for a swim at that moment. Gaby stood at the hotel room window and looked at the sea for hours. She liked the way the water moved and the sound it had. Gaby asked her grandma to sit next to her to see the night, the sky and the stars. Gaby and grandma were so happy that they didn’t notice it was eleven pm already. “Time passed really fast!” grandma said.”
Then Gaby and grandma heard a warm voice, “Time to go to bed.” It was Gaby’s mum asking them to go to bed and have some sleep.
Gaby knew that she had to rest because she had a plan for the next day. “I will collect shells to make some bracelets for the people I love. I need shells in different colours, sizes and forms.” Gaby thought.

Next day in the morning, very early, Gaby dressed up quickly, had breakfast and ran to the beach. She walked for hours. She was carrying a small box to put the shells in it. In the afternoon, Gaby went to her parents to show them all the shells she had found. In the evening, the family went back to the hotel to have a shower, have dinner and rest.
After taking a shower, Gaby sat on the bed and started to make bracelets. “Blue shells for my brother and dad, pink and white shells for mum and grandma, and different colours for my teacher,” Gaby thought.
It was a quick trip because the family were at the beach for two days only, but those were great days for Gaby because she had fun and spent time with the people she loves the most, her family.
