Daisy lived with her parents, Fred and Mary, in a very big house. There were white flowers and tall trees round it. Daisy liked living there. Every Saturday morning, she went to a special place, which was near her house, it was a very bright, long river. She liked sitting next to it. When she was there, she always made drawings. She had the idea of making the house where she lived a colourful one. She wanted to show her parents that colours were great.

It was a sunny spring morning when Daisy painted her right-hand fingers and went to talk to her parents.

I want to paint the bedrooms blue because this colour can help us feel calm at night. I chose yellow for the studio. This colour can help me learn things fast. The colour I got for the living room is pink. It can make us feel happy when we have a family conversation. I’d like to get more flowers in the garden - some red ones because they can help us feel strong when we exercise in it.

And we can have some green decorations in the living room because this colour can help us understand better when we read. Fred and Mary said “Yes!” They got so happy about Daisy trying to help her family to feel good that they decided to paint their house next weekend.
