Helen lives with her family on a beautiful island. They love living there because it’s a place full of fruit trees. Every morning, Helen and her sisters run to the trees and get their breakfast from them. Helen loves mangoes and bananas, and her sisters love oranges and grapes. Helen is a happy girl, but she feels like she needs a new friend. This morning, after breakfast at the trees, she decided to take a walk by the sea. She was wondering when she would find a new friend. After a few minutes of walk, she sat on a big rock by the sea. She stayed on it for about ten minutes, and then she saw something coming out the water.
She couldn’t say what it was, so she got off the rock and went to find out. She walked near the strange thing slowly. And then went down to pick it up.
“It’s a baby dinosaur!” she shouted. It was a stuffed baby dinosaur. Helen took it home to get it dry. She thought it was so beautiful that it needed a name.
She thought and thought trying to find the perfect name for her new friend. She went to her sisters to show the baby dinosaur and ask for advice on how to name it. None of her sisters could help. She went to her parents to show her new friend and ask for advice. None of her parents could help, either.
Helen felt anxious because she didn’t have a name for her new friend, so she decided to go and try finding a name by using some plastic letters she had in her room. She grabbed as many letters as she could in her hands and threw them in the air. After a little bouncing, the letters wrote “DINO.”
“So DINO? What a beautiful name you’ve got my friend!” Helen said.
