Adventure at the mountains
Today Lily and her class went on an excursion to the mountains. They prepared all their camping things to spend the weekend there. It took the children about two hours to get to the campsite, but they were finally there. The first thing they did was putting up the tents. Then they walked round to find the closest stores. It was great they found four stores because after walking through too much vegetation, they got so tired and thirsty that they bought some snacks and some drinks. Then when they were on their way back to the campsite, they stepped in a muddy puddle. It was very difficult to walk across, but after few minutes, they did it. Lily was a bit angry because her new shoes had gotten very dirty.
The kids were near the campsite when the dark came. They all got a bit scared because the night sounds were strange. All the kids knew that they had to get the fire lit very quickly as the night was getting darker.
After a few tries, they got a great fire. They took out their snacks and had a delicious camping dinner.
At about midnight, some loud sounds in the sky started to make the night a bit scary. Then a strong storm followed the sounds; it put the fire out. Fortunately, each kid in the group brought a torch and they all turned them on at the same time. At first, they thought it was a great idea, but turning on all the torches at the same time attracted a big bear that lived near the campsite.
The kids thought the bear was wild and dangerous, but then something fun happened. The bear sat on a rock next to where the fire was and waited for all the kids to come out their tents. The kids sat round the bear and had breakfast together. Can you believe it!
