Lack of snow in the Alps

Conditions required to keep cold areas in good looks and functioning are not being met for the Alps. When you look up at them, you’ll see the appearance is different, there is a lack of snow.
Most parts of Europe have witnessed this mild weather happening, affecting the Alps in activity to offer to visitors.
Some official authorities have said that visitors will have to get used to these new conditions because nature is the only one that has the power to make snowing happening again. However, some action has been taken – some resorts have found ways to use artificial snow, for the lower parts mostly, but they are trying! Some local people have explained that it is not the same, artificial snow is much harder than natural snow and it may turn into a bigger problem as falling while walking, playing, skiing, etc. is very common, but it seems that’s the best thing they can do right now.
2016 was one of the warmest days in history, and if this lack of snow problem was not enough, during this year, machines were not getting the artificial snow with the characteristics required, which was a bigger problem for countries like Austria, Switzerland and the northern part of Italy because they all depend on the snow tourist industry.
On the other hand, some ski-resorts and companies of the like have come up with different attractions and products to offer. For example, zoo-like animal lands, free visits to certain natural areas, discounts, coupons, all-in-one packages and even helicopter rides to have a view from above the Alps.
Most recent visitors have told the press that it is obviously not the same, but they are thankful for all the effort that’s been put in keeping the Alps tourist activity live!
