1- Read the text in the bubble and talk.

 

 

2- Look, read and talk.

How can you be happy? Give three examples.

What do you enjoy the most at home? Explain

What makes you feel sad? Explain.

How did you feel on your first day at school?


How do you feel when going shopping? Explain.

Explain your feelings when you hang out with friends.

What is the most exciting activity you have ever done?

What do you feel when you watch a scary movie? Why?

Where do you feel the most comfortable?


Is it important to have pets to feel happy?

How do you feel when you are in nature?

What is the best part of being with your family?

Who is the happiest person you’ve ever known? Why?


At what place do you feel the most relaxed?

Are you a sensitive person?

Can you control your emotions? How? Explain.

Do you like the place you live? Why?

Are you a positive or negative person?

sensitive = having or displaying a quick and delicate appreciation of others’ feelings


3- Click on the pictures – They will take you to some FEELINGS phrases, idioms, or vocabulary.

  • Check out the new phrases and lexis you can use.
  • Take notes on phrases or words you don’t know or don’t remember.
  • Choose your favourite phrases/idioms and think about when you can use them.
  • Share with the class.

 

                        

 

4- Watch the following video and take notes.

  • Do you know any of these words?

 

5- Look and talk.

  • According to the pictures, discuss the following questions:
    • Is it easy to explain your feelings?
    • What makes you feel fantastic? Explain.
    • Have you ever been so happy that you cry?
    • If you feel down, can you make yourself feel better? How?

6- Read and talk.

  • What is the best way to deal with feelings of anger?
  • Are women more emotional than men? Explain.

 

 

7- Watch the video and take notes.

  • Listen carefully and analyze the idioms, phrases, or phrasal verbs.
  • Listen and write some of them that you would use when speaking in a regular conversation.
  • Pause the video when you need to.
  • Share with the class.

  • Write the information you want to present.
  • What are you feeling now? Why? How can you feel better?
  • Why are feelings so powerful? Which is more important feelings or reason?

  • How can feelings affect people?
  • What can people do to take care of their feelings?

  • What are the effects of ignoring or avoiding feelings?
