What is the most expensive sport?

Do you think athletes need more support? 

Do you know any heavy hitters or famous athletes? 

heavy hitter = a powerful, influential person


Do your family and you watch any sports on TV together?

Who do you think is the best athlete in the world? Explain. 

Do you prefer summer or winter sports? Why?

Do you enjoy extreme sports? Explain.

  • Check out the new phrases and lexis you can use.
  • Take notes on phrases or words you don’t know or don’t remember.
  • Choose your favourite phrases/idioms and think about when you can use them.

    • Would you try extreme sports? Which one? Why?
    • What are some benefits of doing sports?

  • To sum up, why do many people love sports?
  • If you were a professional trainer, what would you do to help your student-athletes to improve their performances?

     

 

7- Watch the video and take notes.

  • Listen carefully and analyze the idioms, phrases, or phrasal verbs.
  • Listen and write some of them that you would use when speaking in a regular conversation.
  • Pause the video when you need to.
  • Share with the class.
