Day 1
1.- Look and tell what you can see in the picture. Then read the questions and talk.
- What do you know about graffiti?
- Do you like any of these tags?
- What do they mean?
- What does “freedom” mean to you?
- How could you know you are free?
2.- Listen to your teacher and talk.

Day 2
1.- Ask some ss to show their graffiti from the last lesson and explain the messages.
1.1 Ss look at the words in bold in the text.
- Talk meaning or definitions with ss.
- Talk pronunciation practice.
2.- Listen to the audio, “The history of street art!”.
Teacher: Pause the audio to make some random questions, for example:
- Who was the first tagger?
- Where did taggers paint their graffiti?
- What happens with graffiti in Taiwan?
3.- Read and answer the questions.

- Note: tell ss to bring a magazine for next lesson – one they can use for graffiti work.
Day 3
1.- Review vocabulary from last lesson – spelling.
- T spells – ss guess the words.
- Ss spell – the other ss guess the words.
1.1 Listen to “The history of street art” – ss follow in their books.
Pages 4-5-6
2.- Use the magazine – ss look for pictures or letter styles they can use for a graffiti piece.
- Remember to ask ss to explain why they would use them.
3.- Make your own graffiti piece using the box on page 8.

Day 4
1.- Reading
Tell students about buddy reading. It is taking turns reading by sentence or paragraph. Explain to them that you want to help them get better at reading – among other benefits, this type of reading lets students feel support while doing.
- Remember to make some gist questions – keep it simple : )
Pages 4-5-6
2.- Teacher – add a game-like activity to review vocabulary.
3.- Explain to ss that they will have a minute to present their graffiti.
- Note: ss may get some participating points for term evaluation.
