Unit 1 Lesson 2 – Day 1

 

1.- Look and describe the picture. Then read the questions and talk.

• Are there any fruits or vegetables?
• What other food can you see?
• What did your mum cook yesterday for you?

 

2.- Listen to your teacher and talk.

• Tell me about your favourite dish.
• What places do you like eating at?

 

3.- Look, read and choose the correct answer.

 

4.- With your teacher – Page 9.

 

Unit 1 Lesson 2 – Day 2

 

1.- Let’s have a vocabulary review!

a) Try the following Preparing Practice.

 

• Ask students to look at the words in bold, and then to explain the meaning.
• Get them to help each other when they don’t remember the meaning of words.

 

2.- Listen to the audio, “Hungry?”.

Teacher: Read the story to ss – tell them to close their eyes.

• Tell ss to clap when they hear a word for food.
• When you finish reading, listen to the audio.

 

 

Reading – pages 10 – 11.

3.- Read the text by paragraphs. Get ss to analyze the text.

 

4.- Listen and follow. Make ss some random questions about the text.

Unit 1 Lesson 2 – Day 3

 

1.- Get ss to tell you what the text was about. Review vocabulary from the last lesson – describe food for ss to guess.

 

2.- Make a link to the reading by talking about ss’ favourite things to eat.

 

3.- Listen and read. Then make students some questions about the text. Remember to keep it simple.
