Unit 1 Lesson 3 – Day 1

 

1.- Look and describe the picture. Then read the questions and talk.

• What can you see in the pictures?
• What are the kids doing?
• Tell me about the activities you like doing in your free time.

 

2.- Listen to your teacher and talk.

• Which activities from the poster do you like and love?
• Why?

 

3.- Look, read and choose the correct answer.

 

4.- With your teacher – Page 15.

1.- Let’s have a vocabulary review!

a) Try the following Preparing Practice.

 

b) Have two rounds of dictation:

Round 1, complete words

Round 2, spell words

 

2.- Listen to the audio, ” A free time kid”.

Teacher: Give ss specific instructions, for example:

• Ss jump once when they hear a verb.
• Ss jump two times when they hear a word for people.

 

 

Reading – pages 16 – 17.

3.- Read the text by paragraphs. Get ss to analyze the text.

 

4.- Listen and follow. Make ss some random questions about the text.

1.- Get ss tell you what the text was about. Review vocabulary from the last lesson.

• explain the general idea – situation

 

2.- Make a link to the reading by talking – ss favourite free-time activities.

• You can run a voting session to find out what the most popular one is.

 

3.- Listen and read.

• Read the questions on pages 18 and 19 for ss to focus on the information they need from the listening.
