Unit 1 Lesson 4 – Day 1

 

1.- Look and describe the picture. Then read the questions and talk.

• Do you like animals?
• Name animals… at the zoo, on the farm, at the park, at a circus, at the garden, pets, etc.

 

2.- Listen to your teacher and talk.

• Which animals from the poster do you like and love?
• Why?
• If it were possible, would you like to have one of these animals as a pet?
• Why?

 

3.- Look, read and choose the correct answer.

 

4.- With your teacher – Page 21.

 

Unit 1 Lesson 4 – Day 2

 

1.- Vocabulary review – name and describe each animal in the poster.

 

2.- Listen to the audio, ” The zoo!”.

a) Try the following Preparing Practice.

 

Teacher: Give ss specific instructions, for example:

• When you hear the name of an animal, make the sound and imitate the moves.

 

 

Reading – pages 22 – 23.

3.- Read the text by paragraphs. Get ss to analyze the text.

 

4.- Listen and follow. Make ss some random questions about the text.

Unit 1 Lesson 4 – Day 3

 

1.- Get ss tell you what the text was about. Review vocabulary from the last lesson.

• name animals
• explain the general idea – situation
• what the girl did to know the names of some animals
• etc.

 

2.- Make a link to the reading by talking ss’ own experience.

“My last visit to the zoo!”

• You can run a voting session to find out what the most popular, dangerous or cutest animals are.

 

3.- Listen and read.

• Read the questions on page 24 for ss to focus on the information they need from the listening.

1.- Vocabulary review.

• Teacher: describes animals, ss choose words.
