• numbers
• personality
• etc.

 

2.- Listen to the audio, ” My opposite monster friend!”.

a) Try the following Preparing Practice.

 

• Teacher: Pauses the track after each opposite idea for ss to act it out.

 

 

Reading – pages 28 – 29.

3.- Read the text by paragraphs. Get ss to analyze the text.

 

4.- Listen and follow. Make ss some random questions about the text.

Unit 1 Lesson 5 – Day 3

 

1.- Get ss tell you what the text was about.

• Review vocabulary from last lesson – Dictation on opposites.

 

2.- Make a link to the reading by talking about ss’ experience.

• Name some film characters that look like monsters.
• Describe them
• Which is your favourite?
• Why?

 

• You can run a voting session to find out what the most popular monster-looking film character is.

 

3.- Listen and read.

• Read the questions on page 30 for ss to focus on the information they need from the listening.

1.- Description review – Teacher says words for things, animals or people and ss choose words.

e.g.

2.- Teacher – add a game-like activity to review vocabulary.
