Unit 1 Lesson 6 – Day 1

 

1.- Look and tell what you can see in the picture. Then read and talk.

• What is the name of the coloured thing at the back?
• Have you ever seen one?
• Can you name the colours of the rainbow?
• Do you know when it appears up in the sky?

 

2.- Listen to your teacher and talk. 

• What’s the order of the colours of the rainbow?

3.- Look, read and choose the correct answer.

 

4.- With your teacher – Page 33.

 

Unit 1 Lesson 6 – Day 2

 

1.- Vocabulary review.

a) Try the following Preparing Practice.

 

• The teacher says a colour word and ss think of things of that colour.

2.- Listen to the audio, ” The rainbow!”.

• Teacher: Pauses the track at the end of each paragraph and draws ss’ attention to some important information in each.

 

 

Reading – pages 34 – 35.

3.- Read the text by paragraphs. Get ss to analyze the text.

 

4.- Listen and follow. Make ss some random questions about the text.

Unit 1 Lesson 6 – Day 3

 

1.- Get ss tell you what the text was about.

• Review vocabulary from the last lesson – Make a Bingo Card and Play.

 

2.- Make a link to the reading by talking about ss’ experience.

• Where were you when you saw a rainbow last?
• How do you feel when you see it?
• What do you think of when you see it?

 

3.- Listen and read.

• Read the questions on page 36 for ss to focus on the information they need from the listening.

4.- With the teacher – pages 37.

 

Unit 1 Lesson 6 – Day 4

 

1.- Recycling – review – T says words for things or animals and ss say what colour those things or animals are.

e.g.

• T= an elephant
• Ss= An elephant is grey.

 

2.- Teacher – add a game-like activity to review vocabulary.

 

3.- With the teacher – page 38.
